The Harriston and District Horticultural Society welcomed Minto’s landscape coordinator Paul Judge to its March 21 meeting.

Judge grew up outside of Clifford. He studied plant biology at the University of Guelph.

Last September, Judge travelled to Ottawa to the National Symposium on Parks and Grounds in connection with Communities in Bloom where, he toured the MosaiCanada150 park in Gatineau, which featured 40 gigantic living structures representing the provinces, territories and more.

The second half of the presentation was a slide show of last year’s summer flowers in Harriston and the colours and flowers that will be used this summer.

Residents can expect a new spring display in Tannery Park soon.
