Participants plunge into fun

It’s clear when it comes to having fun, local residents are always ready to take the plunge at the Alma Optimists Plunger Toss.

Optimist Jim DeBock says enthusiasm continued to grow at the 34th annual event.

Once again 56 teams took to the ice for the daylong event.

DeBock quipped that perhaps the NFL had switched its big game to an earlier week to accommodate the plunging participants at the “Cow Palace” in Alma.
