Parkinson's Walk in Fergus raised over $33,000
Parkinson’s Walk – Each year the Parkinson’s Society of Canada holds fundraising walks to raise funds to help patients affected by the disease. This year the walk was held at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus on Sept. 10, and raised $33,522 with more funds to come. A well known local personality, Rob Eccelstone is the champion in the Centre Wellington area for this cause. He was diagnosed with the affliction in 2007 and was on hand again this year to lead the procession of walkers. ABOVE: The Earle family from Fergus, from left: Tony, Violet, Brianna and Tanya Reide.
