Palmerston man charged in connection with assault, Taser threat: OPP

LISTOWEL – A Palmerston man faces several charges after he allegedly threatened another person with a Taser gun earlier this month.

On Oct. 7 just before 4pm, Perth County OPP officers responded to a parking lot on Barber Avenue North in Listowel.

Police say “a conducted energy weapon [was] seized after an assault” at the location, but no one was injured.

On Oct. 22 police announced that Christopher Ouellette, 30, of Palmerston, was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of prohibited device for a dangerous purpose and failure to comply with a release order.

He is to appear in Stratford court at a later date.
