PALMERSTON – Former district governor and current Lions Foundation A9 district chair Wally Pugh, left, recently presented a plaque to president Jim Dopfer of the Palmerston Lions Club, for outstanding commitment as a model club. A model club is a leader among clubs, whose members: champion all Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) cause areas, which address a world in need; promote the impact of Lions, LCIF and Campaign 100; collectively and individually support LCIF and the campaign financially. Through awareness and fundraising efforts, model clubs expand all Lions’ capacity to bring change.
