Overtime policy ammended

Employees re­quired to attend council meetings will now be entitled to a one-hour minimum of pay.
Recently council had pass­ed a policy that staff would be entitled only to the time spent at the meeting itself.
However, Clerk Barb Wilson said after a discussion with the senior management members felt if a staff member has to drive 15 minutes to the office for 10 minutes at the meeting, and another 15 minute drive home, that additional time should be recognized.
Management team recommended a one-hour minimum.
