Ottawa walls

Senator Rob Black asked Wellington Advertiser freelance photographer Bill Longshaw to visit his office in Ottawa. Black decorated his office with many of Longshaw’s photos and he wanted Longshaw to see them.  Longshaw and his wife, Gloria, went to Ottawa on May 8 to see Longshaw’s photos. “I was dumbfounded when I saw them on his walls,” Longshaw said. “I am extremely proud to have my photos of my friends’ birthplace in his Ottawa office for all to see and to remind him everyday of how beautiful Centre Wellington really is.” There are seven of Longshaw’s photos on Black’s office walls. After showing Longshaw’s the photos, Black gave them a tour of the temporary Senate Chambers while the historic East Block, where the senate is usually located, is under construction for the next decade. Black invites anyone who goes to Ottawa to visit him at his office.
