OTF grant aids research program that helps farmers
The Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO) recently marked the launch of Ontario’s first farmer-led research program west of Waterloo.
A $75,000 seed grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation will help the program assist farmers conducting research trials. In addition, the program hosts free webinars, supports farmer-to-farmer information sharing and is building a publicly available online database of farmers’ knowledge about ecological farming practices.
