Orr, Shirley Elizabeth

Orr, Shirley Elizabeth; Passed away after a brief illness at Groves Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 14th with her husband Michael of 53 years by her side. She will be missed by her son David Mark Orr of Yellowknife. One of five children, Shirley was born in England and moved to Canada in 1967. After various stops along the way, eventually found a home at Pine Meadows that she loved. Shirley was an accomplished seamstress and an avid reader. Michael would like to thank Dr. Dan Mallin for his many years of care for his wife and the home care workers from H.L.O. for making the last several months a little easier to bear. By Shirley’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be directed towards the charity of one’s choice.
