High honour - Jim Estill, left, CEO of Danby Appliances in Guelph-Eramosa, was one of 40 individuals to receive the Order of Canada medal on March 14 from Governor General Julie Payette at a ceremony in Ottawa at Rideau Hall. Estill received the Order of Ontario medal in 2017 for his work in bringing hundreds of Syrian refugees to Guelph. Payette said Estill’s ongoing “contributions to the Guelph and Waterloo technology communities” and his “philanthropic efforts benefitting refugees” contributed to his induction to the Order of Canada.  Photo by Sgt.
