PUSLINCH – The Optimist Club of Puslinch invites all residents to participate in this year’s Township Cleanup.

Residents should watch their mailboxes for a hand-delivered garbage bag and event flyer outlining the details.

On May 2 residents are encouraged to collect litter along roadsides and ditches, place it in the provided bags, and leave the filled bags at the roadside for pickup.

Volunteer drivers and crews will collect the bags and transport them to the Waste Transfer Facility.

In previous years, this community effort has resulted in more than 3,400 kilograms of garbage being removed from the township, officials say.

“Join the Optimist Club of Puslinch in helping keep the community clean, safe and beautiful for everyone,”  they add.
