OPP unsure how much was stolen during mailbox break-ins, thefts

PUSLINCH – Police are looking to the person(s) responsible for breaking into mailboxes near Puslinch Lake and stealing mail.

On Feb. 20 Wellington County OPP responded to reports of break-ins to community mailboxes on Rhodes Road, Concession 1 and Sideroad 20 South in Puslinch Township.

Police say the mailboxes were broken into in the morning or early afternoon of Feb. 20.

“Canada Post was notified and attended to repair and secure the mailboxes,” police stated.

“It is unknown how much property was taken from the mailboxes at this time.”

Police are encouraging residents to check their mailboxes daily to prevent mail and parcels from piling up.
