OPP seeking information in armed robbery

Wellington County OPP are investigating an armed robbery at a Mac’s Convenience store here on May 3 at around 4:55am.

OPP officers responded to an armed robbery call at the store on Elora Street South in Harriston.

Police say a lone male entered the store, presented a weapon and threatened the clerk and made off with cash and cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a younger male, possibly in his mid-20s, five-foot-seven inches tall and wearing camouflage clothing and a black balaclava.

Police say the male left the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit is investigating this incident, along with the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, and the West Region Forensic Identification Unit.
