OPP seek suspect in attempted robbery

The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate an attempted robbery that occurred at the Shopper’s Drug Mart on Main Street here on Feb. 14 at around 5:45pm.

Officers responded to Shopper’s Drug Mart for a report of a lone male that entered the pharmacy and demanded Fentanyl patches from a store employee.

The suspect did not receive any patches and shoved the employee prior to fleeing out the rear door of the pharmacy.

The suspect is described as:

– a white male, thin build;

– 5’5 to 5’7;

– wearing blue jeans, a blue hoody, black toque, a dark bandana covering his face and orange reflective goggles with dark frames.

The county OPP are investigating as well as officers from the Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the West Region Identification Unit.
