OPP seek man who swiped lottery tickets

Police are looking to identify a man who stole lottery tickets from a local variety store last month.

On Dec. 18 Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a theft at the Circle K variety store on St. David Street North in Fergus.

Police say that at 7:10pm a man swiped two scratch lottery tickets behind the teller’s back. The theft was caught on surveillance video (it can be seen on the Advertiser’s Twitter account - @wellyadvertiser - posted on Jan. 25).

Anyone with information about this incident can contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a tip at www.csgw.tips. Tip providers may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
