OPP seek information after stolen truck eludes police

Police are seeking the public's help after a stolen truck failed to stop at a RIDE program and eluded police.

On Dec. 12 at about 1:14am, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program at Wellington Road 7 and David Street near the edge of Elora.

Police say a Ford pickup truck approached the spot check but did not stop.

"Police attempted to pull the vehicle over as it continued northbound on Wellington Road 7 but the driver did not stop," stated an OPP press release.

"The investigation revealed the pickup truck was reported stolen to Waterloo Regional Police Service.  No one was reported injured and no police vehicles were damaged."

Police say there were two unknown occupants in the truck, including a male driver.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2013 red Ford F150 pickup truck with licence plate AE13679.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 1-888-310-1122.
