OPP have not ruled out connection in break-ins

Police say they have not ruled out a connection between two break-ins here on June 5.

Wellington County OPP officers attended a home located on the 14th Line of Mapleton Township for a break and enter. It occurred June 5, between the hours of 7:45am and 9pm. Unknown suspect(s) stole:

– iPod 4th generation;

– wooden jewelry box; and

– various pieces of jewelry (rings and a necklace).

OPP officers also attended a home located on the 8th Line, of Mapleton Township for a break and enter. It occurred June 5, between the hours of 9:15am and 10:30am.  

Unknown suspect(s) stole:

– 500 piece wrench set;

– HP laptop with serial  #P78908LUAQ;

– Dewalt 12V drill set;

– Milwaukee drill set;

– Mastercraft grinder;

– Stihl trimmer;

– Mastercraft five-drawer tool box;

– Stihl chainsaw with 16” bar; and

– three firearms: a Henry-Long gun with a lever action, SKS- Long gun and Remington Express-Shotgun with a pump action.
