OPP: 30,000 chicks stolen from Huron County farm

SOUTH HURON – Police in neighbouring Huron County are looking for help to find the person(s) responsible for stealing 30,000 chicks from a farm this week.

Huron County OPP officials say police were called about the theft on April 20.

The 15-day-old chicks were stolen sometime between 3:30pm on April 19 and 2:20am on April 20.

“The chicks are valued at $1.40 each, which calculates to a total of $42,000 in losses,” police sated in a press release.
