ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts is excited to welcome the community back for another season of Open Sky Live, the Arts Centre’s free outdoor concert series that creates a vibrant gathering place for live music, community and unforgettable summer evenings, officials say.

New this season, each concert night will feature two live performances, showcasing a mix of musical genres and some of the finest emerging and established talent from across Southwestern Ontario, officials continued.

Held every other Thursday evening throughout the summer, Open Sky Live invites residents and visitors alike to relax under the open sky, enjoy live performances, dinner from the onsite food truck, and beverages and snacks served from the Open Sky concession stand.

Whether you’re discovering a new favourite artist or reconnecting with friends and neighbours, Open Sky Live offers the perfect way to celebrate summer in the heart of downtown Elora, officials say.

The next concert takes place on July 9 with gates opening at 5:30pm.

This year’s lineup has been curated through a partnership with Canada’s Music Incubator (CMI) and Courtyard Concerts, with assistance from Ontario Creates.

The series also features select local musicians curated by Spencer Shewen, celebrating the incredible talent found right here in our own community, officials say.

“Open Sky Live has become so much more than a concert series,” said art centre manager of development and operations Kate Ann Vandermeers.

“It creates a welcoming space where neighbours, families, visitors, and music lovers come together to experience the joy of live music.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the many sponsors and community partners whose generosity allows us to offer these performances on a paywhat-you-can basis, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional summer concert experience.”

The Elora Centre for the Arts extends its gratitude to its presenting sponsors Tribute Homes, Sorbara Group of Companies, Storybrook Homes and sticker sponsor SV Law.

Each concert is further supported by a dedicated music sponsor which  includes Bigelow Flooring, Wrighthaven Homes, Cachet Homes and Granite Homes.

Elora Brewing Company and Founder’s Original are providing in-kind support.

Open Sky Live is made possible through the collective generosity of sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.

“Their enthusiasm, dedication and ongoing support help create a welcoming, vibrant, and memorable experience for audiences each week,” officials say.
