It’s a chance to share old memories and build new ones as Emmanuel Christian High School opens the doors of the former Fergus high school on Feb. 14.

The environmental cleanup of 680 Tower St. is complete and Emmanuel Christian High School is inviting the community to come and take a look at the building.

On Feb. 14, the doors will open to the public from 10am until 2pm. The EHSC student council will also host a bake sale and the proceeds will go to the school’s capital campaign.

Budget Environmental completed the task without major road blocks.

With the building cleaned up, school officials are working on completing the site plan approval process and construction drawings.

Staff has been involved in many of the conversations that have shaped how the school is designed to flow and function for its main use: the education of students.

School officials expect renovations and construction of a new gymnasium to start in late spring.

The school invites the Fergus community to come relive the old times once again. A guest book will be available for signing and organizers welcome everyone to share stories of their time at the historic building.

More information on the event is available at www.projectnest.ca.
