One person dead after two-vehicle crash in Guelph

Police looking to speak with drivers involved

GUELPHOne person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on the Hanlon Expressway on Wednesday evening.

Emergency crews were called to the scene, between College Avenue and Stone Road, at about 6pm on May 14.

“One person suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was transported to local hospital by ambulance, where they were pronounced deceased,” stated a Wellington County OPP press release.

The Hanlon was closed for several hours in both directions between College and Stone Road.

Police did not immediately release any information about the deceased individual.

Both vehicles involved in the collision fled before officers arrived and police want to speak with the drivers.

The first vehicle is a grey Toyota Venza SUV with Ontario licence plate CVBX 602.

The second is a white Dodge Ram pickup truck with Ontario licence plate BZ 85153.

Investigators are asking people to check video surveillance cameras and dash cameras for images or video related to this incident or the vehicles involved, police stated.
