One man dead, four sent to hospital after serious crash between car, motorcycles

PUSLINCH – Police are investigating a serious crash here involving four motorcycles and a car that left one man dead and sent four people to hospital.

On July 21 at about 9pm, emergency crews responded to the collision on Wellington Road 35 near Gore Road in Puslinch.

Wellington County OPP officials say four motorcycles were travelling northbound and a sedan was travelling southbound on Wellington Road 35 when the collision occurred.

“A male motorcycle driver was pronounced deceased at the scene,” police stated in a press release. His name has not yet been released.

Police added, “Three other motorcycle drivers were transported to nearby hospitals, one with serious injuries and two with non-serious injuries.”

Of the four occupants in the car, one was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate and say they will release more information as it becomes available.

“CP Rail was contacted and a stop train order was in effect and Wellington Road 35 was closed in the area and both have since reopened,” police stated.
