O'Brien, Elsie May

O'Brien, Elsie May; January 10, 1908 -May 13, 2009.  Elsie died after a long and happy life. Born in Kincardine, daughter of the late William Oliver and Elizabeth Trowse. Beloved wife of the late Dr. John H. O’Brien. Sister to Alvin and Mabel. Left to mourn her passing are many nieces and nephews. Elsie graduated as a nurse from Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital (now known as Grand River Hospital) in 1929. She lived in Elora since 1935 and has had a lifelong commitment to local health care. Family received friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. Elora on Friday, May 15, 2009 from 12-1pm. Service followed in the funeral home chapel at 1pm. Interment in Elora Cemetery. In lieu of flowers rememberances can be directed to the Trowse-O’Brien Endowment Fund at Grand River Hospital or to the O’Brien Park in Elora.
