Novice Fusion "AA" playoffs continue
The Centre Wellington Novice Fusion ‘AA’ team started its OMHA playoffs on Jan. 14.
The Milton Winterhawks were in Elora for game one. The first period was scoreless, but mid way through the second Milton scored the game-winning goal making the final score 1-0 for Milton.
On Jan. 17 the Fusion traveled to Flamborough where the Sabres scored the first goal.
Eddie McDonald scored the only Fusion goal late in the first to tie things up. The Sabres scored three more times before the game was over, beating the Fusion 4-1.
Milton hosted the Fusion on Jan. 18 and again Milton scored first but McDonald, with help from Keira Healey and Brinley Wilson, tied things up.
A goal late in the first from Healey assisted by Wilson and Kai Wycherley gave the Fusion the lead.
It was tied until the third when Milton scored twice, marking another loss of 4-2 for the Fusion.
