Nominations sought for volunteer awards
The Volunteer Centre of Guelph-Wellington, in partnership with the County of Wellington, is now accepting nominations for the 8th annual County of Wellington Volunteer Appreciation Awards.
The deadline for submissions is March 29.
The Volunteer Appreciation Awards recognize and honour dedicated volunteers who give freely of their time to contribute to the growth of local community benefit organizations in Wellington County.
Officials are looking for recipients who demonstrate generosity of time and inspire others to make a difference in their community, making the county a more enjoyable place to live, work and play.
There will be one selected recipient or group representing each lower tier municipality in the county: the Townships of Puslinch, Guelph-Eramosa, Centre Wellington, Mapleton and Wellington North and the Towns of Erin and Minto.
