Nominations open for Erin Citizen of the Year
ERIN - Residents of Erin have until Feb. 28 to nominate candidates for the town’s volunteer and citizen of the year awards.
Nomination forms are available at erin.ca, through the town’s social media pages and in person at town hall.
On April 12, during volunteer appreciation week, the town will hold a ceremony to honour individuals who have made a significant contribution to the community in 2018.
Nominees do not need to be residents of Erin but must volunteer in the town, and their contribution must be for the betterment of the Erin community.
From nominations received, a selection committee will choose up to seven Shamrock Award of Merit recipients and one Citizen of the Year recipient.
Nominees selected for awards will be contacted by the committee to confirm that they will accept the award.
