No hibernating for these Bears

Bears Cheerleading club owners Kimberley Lees and Cyndi Guthrie have found this, their second season, a very busy and exciting time here in Centre Wellington.

December was a very busy month with the club attending competitions in both Niagara Falls and London.

The Niagara Festival of Lights Competition, on Dec. 4 and 5, was a fun filled weekend that resulted in participants bringing home one third place (Kodiac Bears) two second place (Panda Bears and Polar Bears) and one first place (Teddy Bears) finish.

For many Bears athletes, this was their first experience at a competition.

Supportive families and friends cheered them on throughout the weekend.

At the Power Cheer Christmas Challenge Competition in London on Dec. 18, both participating teams (Kodiac Bears and Polar Bears) brought home first place trophies.

All Bears, and their families, are sincerely appreciated and thanked for their efforts.

Cheer On! Bears Cheerleading is thrilled to be moving into their brand new facility come January.

“The Den” will be located at 820 Gartshore, Fergus, Units 24-26.

Practices for the new year begin there on Jan. 3.

The community is invited to join the group on Friday, Jan. 21 at 7pm for the official ribbon cutting

There will be a number of opportunities for youth in the community to participate in open practices in January to see if cheerleading is the right sport for them:
