Following the advice of its environmental stewardship committee, Guelph-Eramosa council has decided there will be no bottled water sold at the new recreational facility at Marden park.

“Water will be available free of charge at two water container refilling stations, at one ... ‘hydration station’ and at a water drinking fountain,” Parks and Recreation Manager Robin Milne told council.

He explained the township will also sell reusable water containers with the facility logo and township website “to help promote the use of municipal water and to help market the facility.”

Council offered little comment on the report and voted unanimously to accept it for information.
