NEWMAN, Muriel – Of Ayton, passed away peacefully at the Saugeen Villa on November 30, 2016 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Fred Newman.  Dear mother of Stanley and Helen Newman of RR 2 Ayton, Dennis and Pat Newman of RR 2 Kincardine, Kathy Morden and Brian Damm of RR 1 Neustadt, Bruce Newman and Terry Fritzpatrick of Ayton, Clare and Caroline Newman of Guelph, and son-in-law Jim Leon of Hanover. Loving grandma to 17 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Sister-in-law to Doris Mew of Harriston and Betty Adams of London. She is kindly remembered by several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents George Keller & Clara Miller, daughter Elizabeth (Beth) Leon and grandsons James Frank and Blane Morden, her brother Hershul Keller and brother-in-laws Harvey Cook, Dave Mew and Geoff Adams. Muriel’s deep faith kept her grounded in life and long after memory failed, she still played a good game of scrabble. Appreciation is extended to the staff at The Village for their kind and attentive care this past year and a half. Cremation has taken place. Family received visitors at the GARRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, Neustadt on Friday, Dec 2, 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Jennifer Mountain at Alsfeldt United Church, RR 2 Ayton on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1 p.m. A spring interment will take place at Union Cemetery, Ayton.  Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Bible Society, Alsfeldt United, or Trinity Lutheran Church, Ayton.
