New to You Farmers Market opens June 12

Organizers are excited for the first New to You Farmer’s Market on June 12 from 1 to 6pm. It will run every Friday through the summer.

The market will be held in the parking lot at the New to You store at 950 St. David St. N. in Fergus.

Officials say this is an opportunity for the community to come together and meet and enjoy local farmers/vendors selling locally grown and fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, preserves, jams, jellies, honey, maple syrup, meat, fish, cheese, baked goods and handmade wooden furniture.

The New to You store will be open until 7pm while the market is on.

All proceeds from the store support Groves Memorial Community Hospital and the additional sale of space to market vendors on market day will be an added benefit to the hospital.
