New route to meet Santa in Fergus on Dec. 5
A special Christmas swings into high gear on Dec. 5 in Fergus with the arrival of the jolly, old Santa Claus during the annual Lions, Optimist and Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade at 1:30pm.
Floats assemble at the A.O. Smith parking lot and travel one way down on a new route down Hill Street along Maple Street, turning down St. George Street to Beatty Line then to St. Andrew St. W. Once there, the parade heads downtown before heading south down St. David St. S.
Along the way, the Centre Wellington Food Bank will be collecting for the food bank while posties will be collecting letters for Santa Claus.
