Nestle plant receives two different certifications

Nestlé Waters Canada recently announced its bottling facility has achieved both ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.

ISO 14001 certification recognizes that Nestlé Waters Canada has established and maintained sustaining and continuously improving environmental management systems.

The company has set targets each year to reduce energy usage by 17.1%, lower water consumption by 4.1% and recycle 96% of its refuse in 2009.

OHSAS 18001 is an international registration requiring Nestlé to establish and maintain standards that control health and safety risks.

The company has established targets in 2009 to reduce lost time incidents to zero and improve other safety measures.
