Nelson, Daniel Somerset (1923 -2013)

Nelson, Daniel Somerset (1923 -2013) Our Dad passed away peacefully on May 10th in Mount Forest, Ontario.  He is survived and loved by his children – Jeanette of London, UK; Karin of Edmonton, AB; Peter of Kingston, ON; Paul of Arthur, ON; and Jeanette of Jasper, AB. He is also fondly remembered by Eva Maria, his brother Sonny and by his grandchildren Linda, Richard, Gail, Katrina, Duncan, Megan, Andrea, Jack and Nicole. He is predeceased by his son Malcolm of South Africa. He also shared his life and love with his canine friends Tarina, Tar, Rena, Toto, Annie & Apollo. Our dad taught us all an appreciation of our natural world through our trips to Algonquin Park, as well as a love and deep compassion for animals. We’ll keep his spirit alive by treating our planet kindly and advocating for our animal friends. Carpe Diem.  Cremation has occurred and the memorial was a private family celebration. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
