NeighbourWoods seeks photos of beautiful trees in township

NeighbourWoods is now accepting candidates for its Centre Wellington’s most beautiful tree competition.

Organizers noted there are hundreds of beautiful trees, but the goal is to pick the best and take the best photo of it.

Entrants should submit only one picture per person.  Choose a tree that deserves to be recognized for its beauty.

Photos can be submitted in either digital or print format.

To submit a photo in person, drop it off at the office (75 Melville Street Elora) by no later than 5pm on July 8. Submissions by email can be sent to afischer@eloraenvironmentcentre.ca by midnight of that same date. To mail a submission, see the website www.ecee.on.ca for a mailing address. Please ensure that all printed submissions are 5- by 7-inches.

Include a name, email address, phone number, and location of the tree.  Feel free to add any other details about the tree.

Photos can be returned by  pick-up by August 7.

The winner will be determined by the public. Ballots will be available at Art in the Yard, at the Elora Centre for the Arts, on July 11 and 12. The winner will be contacted on July 13.

The winning photo will be used in the next series of NeighbourWoods cards, and the person who submitted the photo will receive a free sugar maple, to be planted in their yard by NeighbourWoods volunteers this fall.
