MYAC helping connect youth across community with ‘care’ package program

MINTO – The Minto Youth Action Council (MYAC) is offering to spread cheer among young people in the community.

MYAC is offering local youth an opportunity to send “care” packages for free to other youth who could use a boost.

“Do you have a friend who has been feeling a little cooped up, or know a youth in need of a little cheer? … Send a ‘From Your Friend Care Package’ to another youth (ages 12 to 26) in Minto courtesy of Minto Youth Action Council,” organizers urge.

The packages will be filled with treats and resources “that anyone would love to receive,” MYAC officials state.  Youth can participate by sending MYAC a message with the name and address of the intended recipient and a message to be included. Messages can be signed or sent anonymously – by digital messaging MYAC or emailing youth@town.minto.on.ca.

Packages will be purchased, paid for and delivered by MYAC. Orders must be placed by Feb. 7. For more information check out MYAC’s and Minto’s social media accounts.
