Mustangs win – The Grand River Mustangs U11 team celebrated gold after a 3-2 win over the Twin Centre Hericanes 3-2 last weekend at the Kitchener Girls Local League Championship Day. For most of the players this was their first time attending playoffs or championships, after two truncated seasons due to COVID-19. Leading the game 3-1 until 41 seconds left in the third, the players rebounded for the win, officials say. With the regular season over, the team, will be competing in a tournament in Brampton on Easter weekend. Submitted photo
