Museum to host classic car show

On Aug. 25, the Wellington County Museum and Archives is hosting its 38th annual Antique and Classic Car Show.

The Fergus Brass Band will once again welcome the parade of cars at approximately 1pm. The cars will be on display for the rest of the afternoon.

Awards will be given this year to the car with the Best Interior, Best Paint Job and Best in Show as voted by the visitors. New this year will be the 400,000km Circle for owners and their vehicles with over 400,000km on it.

Visitors can wander the site and enjoy antique cars, other vintage vehicles and the sounds of music from the 1950s and the ‘60s. Trucks and motorcycles are also welcome.

Hot dogs, hamburgers and cold drinks will be available from the M&M charity barbecue, with proceeds to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

Attendees are urged to bring a lawn chair and join the afternoon of family activities. Admission is $5 per person or $12.50 per family.

The museum is located on Wellington Road 18 between Fergus and Elora.
