Museum to host 41st annual Antique And Classic Car Show

On Aug. 28 the Wellington County Museum and Archives is hosting its 41st annual Antique and Classic Car Show.

Last year’s show of classic cars filling the front lawn of the museum made for a spectacular sight, organizers state.

Cars, trucks and vintage motorbikes are invited to gather on the front lawn beginning at noon. Awards will be given this year to the car with the best finish, farthest distance travelled and best in show as voted by the visitors.

The Fergus Brass Band will be on site at 1pm to entertain visitors and car owners alike.

Local classic rock group 12th Line will also be on site starting at 3pm.

Visitors can wander the site and enjoy antique cars, other vintage vehicles and the sounds of music from the 70s.

Hot dogs, hamburgers and cold drinks will be available from the Fergus M&M Charity BBQ, with proceeds going to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

It is a great afternoon to check out the summer exhibits, organizers state. For example My Little Pony and the John Deere exhibits which showcase local Wellington County collectors as well as Insights, the juried art show in the Exhibit Hall.
