Munro-White, Shirley Isobel (Nee: Smith)

Munro-White, Shirley Isobel (Nee: Smith); Passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London Ontario on Thursday, February 7th, 2013. Predeceased by her first husband Angus Munro (1994) and son Terry (2005), and second husband Fred White (2002). Shirley was the youngest daughter of Laura (Smellie) and William Smith. Predeceased by her siblings Evelyn Wilson, Edward Smith, Rita Stickney and William (Bill) Smith. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Muffin. Shirley was raised on the 6th line of West Garafraxa Township, came to Fergus in the mid 40’s. She married Angus Munro in 1949 and they had a son Terry in 1956. In 1965 they moved to Lambeth (London) where Angus worked for GSW. After the death of Angus in 1994, she married Fred White in 1997, and enjoyed several trips and happy times until Fred’s death in 2002. A graveside service will be held for Shirley at McKees Cemetery in the spring (date to be announced). Arrangements entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus 519-843-3100
