MOYER, Leonard Joseph, of Mount Forest and formerly of Orangeville, passed away at Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre, Mount Forest on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 in his 71st year. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Husson). Stepfather of Robert van Gent and James van Gent and step-grandfather of Elijah, Abigail, Amelia, Emilie and Nicolas. Dear brother of Lorne Moyer and his wife Florence, Marie Mawhinney and her late husband Ben, Alfred Moyer and his wife Laurie, Anna Volk, Luci Valentini and her husband Dominic, Edward Moyer and his wife Cathy, Ruth Alves and Cleta Hey and her husband Norman. Fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Cecelia Moyer, his sister Eileen Moyer and an infant sister Anna. Friends may call at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Friday, March 24th, where a vigil prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. followed by visitation until 9 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 230 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Saturday, March 25th at 10 a.m. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund or Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre.
