WELLINGTON NORTH –The Mount Forest Lions Club Santa Claus parade returns to Main Street this year following two years of a modified drive-through format.

The traditional route remains but with the start/finish locations swapped this year.

The parade will leave Victory Church (320 King Street East) at 7pm on Dec. 2 and proceed along King Street East to Main Street/Highway 6, heading north to the Mount Forest fire station, before Sligo Road.

The parade theme is “Holiday Traditions” and floats will compete in four categories:

- most colourful;

- biggest and brightest;

- best use of theme; and

- best youth float.

Registration is preferred (call or text parade chair Emma Jeffries at 519-313-0604 or email mountforestlionsclub.com), however businesses with floats can just show up night-of.

“Thank you again for your consideration to support in helping the Lions Club bring an exciting beginning to the Christmas season in our community,” states a social media post from the Lions Club.

“Let’s make Santa feel at ho-ho-home in Mount Forest again this year,” club officials urge.
