Mount Forest residents charged in Dufferin County theft, drug investigation

MOUNT FOREST – Three Mount Forest residents have been charged in connection with a drug and theft investigation in Dufferin County.

On Sept. 22, Dufferin County OPP officers, assisted by Caledon officers and the OPP’s  Central Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a property in Mount Forest.

Police say officers recovered property stolen from a Dufferin County address, including a stolen trailer valued at $15,000, power tools, a quantity of drugs, drug paraphernalia and cash. 

Michael Addley, 40, of Mount Forest, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000), possession of proceeds obtained by crime (under $5,000), two counts of possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000) and three counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine, ecstasy and psilocybin).

Samantha Plouffe-Vachon, 31, of Mount Forest, was charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime (one under $5,000 and one over $5,000) and two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and psilocybin).

Jessica Waun, 39, of Mount Forest, was charged with breach of recognizance.

All three are to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
