MOUNT FOREST  – Young’s Home Hardware and the Mount Forest Patriots are back in action, in support of the Louise Marshall Hospital (LMH) Foundation in Mount Forest.

Last December, store owners Marty and Joanne Young pledged $50 to the LMH Foundation for each goal scored by the Mount Forest Patriots from Dec. 3 through the end of the season. The Patriots finished out the 2022-23 regular season in first place, clinching the North Pollock Division championship. When their season came to an end, ultimately defeated by Stayner in the third round of the playoffs, they had scored 183 goals over the course of the fundraiser, and Young’s Home Hardware made a donation of $9,150 to the LMH Foundation.

The store has reinstated this fundraiser for a second year, only this time they have dialed it all the way back to the beginning of the season. Currently in second place in the North Pollock division, the Patriots have scored 94 goals as of Nov. 25, which brings Young’s total donation to $4,700 to date. “We are excited to bring back this fundraiser for a second year, in support of the LMH Foundation,” said Marty Young. “And we can’t wait to see how the Patriots season plays out.”
