Mount Forest Lions host annual roadside clean-up
Clean up crew - Members of the Mount Forest Lions Club were busy picking up litter in the ditches along Highways 6 and 89 around Mount Forest on June 5. The Lions have an agreement with the Ministry of Transportation to clean the roadways twice annually and this marked the first clean-up for 2021. In addition to some dead animals, which were left and marked for later removal, 24 bags of garbage were collected and disposed of. The Lions parks were also tidied up as part of the campaign. Due to pandemic restrictions, the clean-up was delayed until June 5. It is usually marked for end of April, or early May. Submitted photo
