Mount Forest Lions donate to curling club
MOUNT FOREST – Mount Forest Lions Club President George Laurencic, right, presented the Mount Forest Curling Club with a donation of $5,000 towards its capital project. Curling club president Doug Rice, left, and head ice technician Kim McKenzie were on hand to accept the donation. The Mount Forest Curling Club has been at its existing location at 144 Egremont Street since 1965 and, in addition to a recent $146,000 Trillium grant,is raising upwards of $100,000 to replace the ice plant compressor and complete additional modernization and renewal projects.
