Mother-daughter barrel race in Rockwood
The Rockwood Trail Riders are hosting a mother/daughter barrel race July 20 in support of the Cancer Society.
The event will be held at the home of the Trail Riders, 8409 Wellington Road 27, Rockwood. Starting time is 1pm, and the entry fee is $10 per team. Added donations are welcome, and there will be a prize for the highest fund raiser. Tickets will also be available for a “wheelbarrow full of prizes” at a cost of $5.
There will be three divisions competing during the event: “In it to Win it,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” and “Lead Me Round the Barrel Path.” Ride in your own style: western, English, side saddle, stock or cavalry saddle. Rent a daughter, rent a mother, grab a father and dress his feminine side. The possibilities are endless.
