More congestion ahead in Elora
More traffic congestion is coming in Elora.
During a recent Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce town hall meeting on June 20, Centre Wellington director of infrastructure Colin Baker said Wellington Road 7 across the Grand River will close around July 15.
He added that in a worst case scenario the road would be closed for up to four weeks.
The reason behind the closure is not the bridge, but rather new main connections to Elora’s sewage treatment plant, which is undergoing an extensive expansion this year.
