Moorefield Optimists host nighttime parade
MOOREFIELD – Santa will be coming to town a little later than usual here.
The village’s 2023 Santa Claus Parade, traditionally an afternoon event, will be held in the evening on Dec. 2.
The parade, sponsored by the Optimist Club of Moorefield, will begin at 7pm. Lineup for floats begins at 6:30pm at the Murray Group property.
“No need to register your float. Just show up at 6:30,” Optimist officials state.
Following the parade, Santa Claus will be at the Optimist Hall on Ball Avenue to meet with local youngsters and hand out treat bags. The Optimist Club will also be accepting food bank donations at the hall following the parade.
