Mites to host provincial tournament
The Ponsonby Recreation Club is hosting OASA Provincial Mites (U10) boys softball tournament Aug. 13 to 14 at Ponsonby Park.
Twelve teams are registered to play in Ponsonby as well as the diamonds at the community centre in Elora.
Teams locally are Tara, Baden, Tavistock, Durham and others from Springbrook and Campbellford.
The park is looking forward to hosting this event to promote softball in the community, state organizers.
Opening ceremonies are slated for 10:45am in Ponsonby. Game times 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 2pm on Sunday.
