Minto wants to investigate affordable housing in Harriston
Minto is officially asking Wellington County’s social services department to undertake a study concerning the potential of an affordable housing project in Harriston.
The issue came up earlier this year following a suggestion earlier this month by Wellington County councillor Mark MacKenzie.
Mayor David Anderson, who was absent from that meeting, noted that last year Centre Wellington applied for 155 units.
“We’ve seen a lot of demand,” Anderson said.
